The
Georgian Hotel Photo Factsheet
DESCRIPTION:
The Georgian Hotel was built in 1933 as a seaside getaway for the
exclusive Hollywood set. Refurbished in 2007, there
are 56 guest rooms and 28 suites decorated in a warm Art Deco design.
The hotel faces Ocean Avenue, overlooking Palisades Park and Santa
Monica Bay.
Public spaces are elegant and inviting with a mixture of furnishings
complementing the Art
Deco style. The veranda offers a spectacular view of the ocean and
a great place to spend a
romantic evening. All guest rooms and suites include LCD flat
screen TV's and cable, clock radios with MP3 capability,
pay-per-view movies, Nintendo, mini bars, in-room safes, coffee makers
with Prebeca coffee, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, iron
and board, bathrobes, Aveda body products, hair dryer and two-line
data port telephones
with voice mail and complimentary WIFI access.
100% non-smoking. Specially designed handicapped
accessible rooms are available. Suites also feature queen sofa sleepers
and AM/FM stereo/CD/DVD players with MP3 capability.
HISTORY: Originally opened in 1933 as a
seaside hotel by the Borde family, the “Lady,” as it was
known, operated as a hotel until the 60s when it became a residential
building. The
Georgian re-entered Santa Monica’s hotel circuit in 1993.

in-house health club facility, multi-lingual
staff, same day laundry and dry-cleaning, twice daily maid service
including turn-down
service, valet parking, express check-out, Lobby bar, Internet access,

events and private functions. The former hangout for Bugsy Segal, Fatty
Arbuckle, Clark
Gable and Carol Lombard can accommodate up to 90 guests.

The Georgian Hotel offers meeting space for corporate

sessions, production rooms or informal gatherings. The contemporary

VERANDA: The Georgian Hotel's one-of-a-kind veranda
